Today Monte shared that he remembered his Sergeant from 30 years ago. Stating joining the army was a huge transition. He has been stationed at many bases in the US. He was part of the Delta dogs at one camp. Delta dogs ran everywhere and barked every time their left foot hit ground. Food was good in the army. Monte also shared he has been to many places like the Persian gulf, Africa, Germany, Central Asia etc. Overall I really enjoyed listening to all the veterans stories. ~Nick Olsufka

During the panel I learned even more about Art. He said something he will never forget is when he got off the train and saw the ocean he was scared to death. He also said that his chief at boot camp was named Chief Williams but they had to call him Sir. He taught them how to march in step and take orders. I also learned that the Air Force has better food than the Navy. ~Rylee Johnson
